Case-Making 101: Nabeel Qureshi, please pray for him

I am dedicating this week’s post to Nabeel Qureshi, Christian Apologist and our brother in Christ, who is battling stage four stomach cancer at the young age of 34. One of the main reasons for highlighting Nabeel this week is to ask all of you to become prayer warriors for him and his family as they go through this difficult time in their young lives.

Nabeel’s life story is amazing and I have been an avid follower of his work since his first book came out, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus. His role as a warrior for the Kingdom of God is unmatched and one that I am praying continues for many years, but from a human perspective his diagnosis is grim. Please join me in prayer for a miracle to occur.

I have followed Nabeel’s vlogs since his diagnosis a little less than a year ago (as of this posting he is on vlog #36). Nabeel’s courage and faith throughout this trial over the past year is one that everyone should see because it has not wavered, and even though he acknowledges his shock and subsequent grief, his main concern has been for the protection and care of his wife and young daughter, and those who do not yet know the LORD.

My prayer is that God will miraculously heal Nabeel and bring his parents and extended family of Muslim followers and others to the saving grace of Jesus. Of course not my will but God’s be done, please join me in this prayer for Nabeel. We do not always know how God is going to work out his Kingdom plan but we can take comfort that He is in control of all things:

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

If you are not familiar with Nabeel Qureshi please take some time to check out his story in this 50 minute presentation:

A little more about Nabeel (taken from his website biography):

“Nabeel Qureshi is the author of the New York Times bestselling Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus, the only book ever to win Christian Book Awards for both “Best New Author” and “Best Nonfiction.” Nabeel is a global speaker and holds degrees in medicine (Eastern Virginia Medical School), Christian apologetics (Biola University), and religion (Duke University). Nabeel is pursuing a doctorate in New Testament studies at Oxford University” (at this time put on hold).

His newest book, No God But One—Allah or Jesus?, was released in August 2016.

“Raised as a devout Muslim in the United States, Nabeel grew up studying Islamic apologetics with his family and engaging Christians in religious discussions. After one such discussion with a Christian, the two became friends and began a years-long debate on the historical claims of Christianity and Islam. Nabeel chronicled his resulting journey in his first book, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus. Qureshi has lectured to students at more than 100 universities, including Oxford, Columbia, Dartmouth, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, and the University of Hong Kong. He has participated in 18 moderated, public debates around North America, Europe, and Asia. Christianity Today heralded Qureshi as one of “33 Under 33” in its cover story on emerging religion leaders in July 2014. Nabeel’s other releases include Answering Jihada balanced examination of jihad, the rise of ISIS, and Islamic terrorismand the Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus Video Study, which takes you deeper into the apologetics that led Nabeel himself to Christ.”

It is ironic that following the evidence to where it leads stops at the door of our public schools as they will not let a “Divine footprint” in!  Join us as we examine evidence for Christianity and learn how to become a thoughtful defender and ambassador of your faith.

  1. Hi Teri, I’ve been following Nabeel’s VLog’s right from the beginning and praying for him, his immediate family and his Mom and Dad daily but I will definitely join you as a prayer partner. Thank you.

  2. I, too, have been following Nabeel’s progress since the start, praying for him, for his healing and for the comfort of his family as they all go through this so difficult time. As difficult it is to witness, it is with great hope for God’s will to heal Nabeel, knowing that His will be done and what ever that is, it’ll turn out alright. His courage is a strong testament to his faith. All God’s blessings upon him.

  3. I have been praying for Nabeel ever since I found out about his diagnoses. May God heal him and show his Mom and Dad and the rest of his family the light of Jesus! He is the only one that saves.
