“Here’s a creative, clear, and compelling primer that will sharpen the reasoning skills of kids. They’ll love the detective approach to the evidence for faith!”  Lee Strobel, bestselling author of The Case for Christ.”

Watch this brief introduction by J. Warner Wallace:

It is important to have good resources to answer questions so many people have today about Christianity and the Bible. Doubts and questions about the Christian faith, and the Bible in particular, usually start at a young age as most statistics show. This is due to the secularization of our public school system, TV programming, and media in general that continually bombards us with anti-God propaganda.

J. Warner Wallace is a Christian Case-Maker and I like that title. With so many wrong ideas floating around out there concerning Christianity, case-making can help you sort through the available evidence and then make a determination based on the facts and not just feelings or popular opinions. He does an excellent job of this in God’s Crime Scene and the original Cold-Case Christianity and I am so excited that he has brought this concept to our kids with his new book.

J. Warner Wallace has been one of the most influential Christian Apologists in my life. His journey from atheism to Christianity is amazing. Using his skills as a cold-case detective his books, articles, podcasts and video presentations take us to the undeniable conclusion that God exists, that Jesus proved who he claimed to be and rose from the dead, and that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant and historically reliable Word of God.

Cold-Case Christianity for Kids can be an excellent primer book for adults as well, particularly those who are just starting out in Christian Apologetics. I’ve heard people say things like, “Christian Apologetics is just for smart people.” Not true, Christian Aplogetics is about finding and having the right resources to give answers for the hope that we have in Christ Jesus (1 Peter 3:15). If that’s where you are this book is for you, or you can get the adult version and study along with your kids to get a foundation for what Christian Apologetics is all about: Simply evaluating the evidence!

A little more about Wallace from his website, Cold Case Christianity:

“J. Warner Wallace is a cold-case homicide detective, popular national speaker and author. He continues to consult on cold-case investigations while serving as an adjunct professor of apologetics at Biola University and as a faculty member at Summit Ministries. J. Warner was a conscientious and vocal atheist until the age of thirty-five, when he took a serious and expansive look at the evidence for the Christian Worldview and determined that Christianity was demonstrably true. He eventually earned a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.”

“J. Warner’s professional investigative work has received national recognition; his cases have been featured more than any other detective on NBC’s Dateline, and his work has also appeared on CourtTV and Fox News. He also had a role in God’s Not Dead 2, making the case for the historicity of Jesus.”

“J. Warner’s book, Cold-Case Christianity, provides readers with ten principles of cold case investigations and utilizes these principles to examine the reliability of the Gospel eyewitness accounts. In God’s Crime Scene, he investigates eight pieces of evidence in the universe to make the case for God’s existence.”

Watch J. Warner Wallace’s 47 minute presentation on evidence for the reliability of the Bible:

It is important in our culture today that we inoculate our kids, not only from physical disease, but spiritual disease. We can only do this if we begin at an early age and equip our Christian kids with the tools and resources they need to answer the tough questions they will come up against in the secular world we live in today.

For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?  1 Corinthians 1:19-20

Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.   Acts 17:11

Using J. Warner Wallace’s work, along with other Christian Apologists, we will continue to build a “Case for the Bible” over the next several posts, please join us and share with other who might have these same questions or interests about the Christian faith and the Bible.

You will not find this material in the public school curriculum even though it is based on solid evidence and grounded in research. It is ironic that following the evidence to where it leads stops at the door of our public schools as they will not let a “Divine footprint” in!  Join us as we examine evidence for Christianity and learn how to become a thoughtful defender and ambassador of your faith.
