A Case for Christianity: Why?

Before starting our new series it would be important to review the purpose of this website and the intention of this ministry. This has been a very personal journey for me, spanning the last two decades (and probably longer than that). It has been a quest for truth because the philosophies of the world run far and wide and when it comes to the most important questions of life (God’s existence, origins, purpose, eternity etc.) there are a plethora of answers.

Because the world offers so many options it is easy to find yourself in the default position of “agnostic” and this is where I stayed for quite sometime. Then, in a strange twist, I came across a television show that coined the phrase “the truth is out there.” This phrase stuck with me and became the mantra of my new found search for truth.

The story hasn’t ended, but my search for truth has. When I opened myself up to the possibility that God does exist, miracles are possible, and the Word of God found in the Christian Bible has been passed down reliably over the centuries it was a no-brainer to accept Jesus as my LORD and Savior. Now that was not based on blind faith, but on a heart felt search of the evidence that pointed to these truths.

My challenge to every reader of this post would be to search the evidence for yourself. Don’t take the word of “so-called” experts, but really take a look at what is presented. There are essentially two sides to examine: The evidence in favor of the God of the Christian Bible and the skeptical views against the Christian God. These “against” views can come in any form from atheism to other religions, but interestingly the arguments are the same.

In my research, and ultimate verdict, the evidence in favor of Christianity’s claim is overwhelmingly true, and if it were presented in a court case this verdict would be reached “beyond a reasonable doubt.” Therefore, it has become my passion to share the evidence I have uncovered through this website in a class format that follows courses I teach at my Church. Join us on a weekly basis and I’m sure you too will become convinced beyond a reasonable doubt!

Ministry Statement

  • The purpose of this website is to provide participants with the information and tools needed to address the questions asked of Christians in our culture today (1 Peter 3:15). This includes an emphasis on prayer (Matthew 6:9-13; John 17), proper Biblical interpretation through the use of hermeneutics (Matthew 22:37; 2 Timothy 2:15), a defense of the historicity, inerrancy and inspiration of the Christian Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21), and discipleship (Matthew 28:18-20; Hebrews 10:23-25).
  • This ministry believes that it is the responsibility of every person to invest serious time looking into the claims of Christianity because what we believe to be true about God, human purpose and destiny defines us in this life and more importantly in the next (John 14).
  • This ministry is committed to providing Biblical truths based on the teachings of Jesus and his Apostles (John 14:6-7; 2 Peter 1:16-19; 1 John 1:1-4). The most important question we must answer in this life is the one Jesus asked of his disciples: “Who do you say that I am?” (Luke 9:18-20).

This life is temporal—eternity is forever.

Own your faith; know what you believe and why you believe it!

Then share it with others!

Each week I will share class notes, video links to top Christian Teachers and Apologists, and there will be Bible Studies as well. Please feel free to share thoughts and ask questions anytime. I look forward to studying with you all in the next few weeks!

You will not find this material in the public school curriculum even though it is based on solid evidence and grounded in research. It is ironic that following the evidence to where it leads stops at the door of our public schools as they will not let a “Divine footprint” in!  Join us as we examine evidence for Christianity and learn how to become a thoughtful defender and ambassador of your faith.

Click into the resource page of this website to view many of the top Christian thinkers and apologists along with some of their work; connecting to these types of resources is essential in your Christian growth.
