We are in between our winter and spring classes and I wanted to share a video, and some thoughts, that would conclude our last topic on evidence for God’s existence. What is the answer to the origin of life, and everything that exists in our universe? From our studies so far, we can basically conclude that there are only two possibilities: 1) Everything we know to exist has come about by chance through random evolutionary processes in an undirected universe; or 2) Everything we know to exist has come about by intelligent design from a Creator God who has a purpose and plan that is evident. The most reasonable answer to this question is intelligent design that comes from God as our Creator, and we explored that evidence over the past several posts by looking at these areas: Biblical history, philosophical, cosmological, teleological and the debunking of evolution as an answer for the origin of life (we will also look at the “moral law argument for the existence of God” in the Spring class next week). In my view, any reasonable person can see that the complexity and specificity of life can have no other answer but design, and design that is intelligent, purposeful and personal. The only fit for this conclusion is the God of the Bible! How about you? What is your conclusion?

Reflection and Review
As a final review to our winter class, to the best of your ability, give an answer in your own words for the following questions: (Note – these are building from the notes each week)
- What are the four areas of our Christian walk that we should work on growing in? (From the Ministry Statement in the first session)
- What makes the ”Christian Worldview” unique, and how do we know it is true?
- Give an example (or two) for the existence of God from each of these areas: Biblical evidence, Philosophical evidence, Cosmological evidence, and the Teleological evidence from design in the Universe.
- Give two or three questions that evolutionists have to answer, but cannot.
- How confident are you that God is behind all we see, and what evidence would you use to make that argument? (Choose a few from the sessions we presented so far)
Bible Study
Always remember to pray before you study and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you and lead you into the truth found in God’s Word – pray for protection from the evil one who will try to discourage, distract and deceive us when we commit to growing closer to the LORD.
Daily Devotional:
Look through the wisdom literature in the Bible (the books of Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon) and choose one to use as a daily devotional. You can repeat the Proverbs if you’d like. We will have a discussion question or two on your choice when we start our new class.
Bible study:
We will also be starting the book of Philippians followed by the book of Colossians for our next class. You can get a head start by reading through each one in a single sitting to get the big picture before studying with us chapter by chapter (these books have four chapters each).
Join us next week as we continue our study in Christian Apologetics with our spring class and more topics for conversations!

You will not find this material in the public school curriculum even though it is based on solid evidence and grounded in research. It is ironic that following the evidence to where it leads stops at the door of our public schools as they will not let a “Divine footprint” in! Join us as we examine evidence for Christianity and learn how to become a thoughtful defender and ambassador of your faith.
