A Case for the Bible, The Story Continues: Manuscript Evidence – Recommended Video

This week we are taking a look at a guest video with a lecture by Wes Huff of Apologetics Canada. Wes has been, and is doing, some great research on Biblical reliability and historicity, especially when it comes to manuscript evidence. His work can be found at apologeticscanada.com and his own website, as well as YouTube and other social media platforms.

From Wes’ website: wesleyhuff.com/bio

“Wesley is currently the Central Canada Director for Apologetics Canada and has been a guest on a variety of public platforms, from The Joe Rogan Experience, the PBD Podcast, and Breaking Bread with Russell Brand, to Apologia Radio and Blurry Creatures. He has participated in numerous public dialogues, debates, and interfaith events on issues of belief and religion across North America.
He holds a BA in sociology from York University, a Masters of Theological Studies from Tyndale University, and is currently doing a PhD in New Testament at the University of Toronto’s Wycliffe College.”

Watch his forty minute lecture on evidence for the historicity of the Bible:

For your group study time this week:

  1. Open in prayer and review the “Where’s Jesus” in the Old Testament from Genesis through Ruth (see last week’s notes).
  2. Memory Verse: “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seedHe shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel.” Genesis 3:15
  3. Discuss the video lecture by Wes Huff.
  4. Continue working on the Bible study homework from last week for Judges chapters 6-8.

Please join us as we continue our Case for the Bible, The Story Continues, with a study in the Book of Judges!

You will not find this material in the public school curriculum even though it is based on solid evidence and grounded in research. It is ironic that following the evidence to where it leads stops at the door of our public schools as they will not let a “Divine footprint” in!  Join us as we examine evidence for Christianity and learn how to become a thoughtful defender and ambassador of your faith.
